What is f(–3) for f(x) = 2x2 – x + 5?

Substitute the value of x = -3 to the equation:

[tex]f(x)=2x^2-x+5\\\\f(-3)=2(-3)^2-(-3)+5=2(9)+3+5=18+3+5=26[/tex]

Answer: f(-3) = 26
