distribute 45 to v and -7 then the equation becomes 45v-315=2 move the -315 over and the equation becomes 45v=317 317/45=7.04 v=7.04 hope this helps

take the 45 and distribute in into the () you would get 45v-315 =2

then add 315 to each side so then it would be 45v=317

divide both sides by 45

317 divided by 45

317 divided by 45 should give you 7.04

v=7.04
