expand
15x3=13x+5
subtract 3 from both sides
15x=13x+5-3
simplify 13x+5-3 to 13x+2
15x-13x+2
subtract 13 from both sides
15x-13x=2
simplify 15x-13x to 2x
2x=2
divide both sides by 2
x=1
