Answer: [tex]6x-9[/tex]

1. Distribute the [tex]\frac{3}{8}[/tex] to the rest of the equation.

[tex](\frac{3}{8}*16x)+(\frac{3}{8}*-24)=6x+(-9)=6x-9[/tex]
