The measures of the sides of a right triangle are 6 yards, 8 yards, and 10 yards. What is the area of the triangle?

That's a 3/4/5 right triangle, scaled by 2 yards.  The area of a right triangle is half the product of its legs.

Area = (1/2)(6)(8) = 24 square yards

Answer: 24 square yards
