Is pumpkin bread cultural? This is for a homework assignment.

Well, from what I know, yes. It's a native food. It originated in Mexico and Central America, and later it (it being pumpkins) was found by Cliff Dwellers to be in the western United States. This lead Native Americans and Pilgrims to plant them. After harvest, they then tried different ways of cooking. Pumpkin Bread was one.
