Substitute value of y from equation (1) in equation (2),

5x-4(5-3x) = -3

5x-20+12x = -3

17x=17

x = 1

Substitute it in equation (1),

y = 5-3(1)

y = 5-3 = 2

So, the values (x,y) = (1,2)
