volume of a sphere is 4/3 pir^2 so
r=6 so

4/3 pi 36=
4/3 times 36 (associative property of multiplication [a(bc)=(ab)c]) 144/3=48

48π square units is the answer

but if you want the numbers
π≈3.1415926535898...
so 48 times π≈150.796 square units but you teacher would only require 150.80 square units
