How do I find the volume of an L-block?

First break the L into two rectangular prisms and then find the volume for each prism. Then add those two volumes together to get the L.

First you divide the L block into two separate rectangles. Then find the area of the two figures. Then add the products of the two rectangles and add the unit of measurement cubed.
