  2x + 3y = 13
2(2) + 3y = 13
    4 + 3y = 13
 - 4            - 4
          3y = 9
           3     3

[tex]\bf2x+3y=13[/tex]

Plug in x = 2:

[tex]\bf2(2)+3y=13[/tex]

Multiply:

[tex]\bf4+3y=13[/tex]

Subtract 4 to both sides:

[tex]\bf3y=9[/tex]

Divide 3 to both sides:

[tex]\bf~y=3[/tex]

So our solution is [tex]\boxed{\bf(2,3)}[/tex]
