C = sqrt(A^2 + B^2)

+- sqrt(c^2-a^2:      First, square both sides of the equation to get

c^2 = a^2+b^2       now subtract a^2 from both sides

c^2 - a^2 = b^2       Now take the square root of both sides

b = +- sqrt(c^2-a^2)
