I myself am an atheist. However, I grew up in a religious house. Taking a look at my mom who turned to god whenever she needed guidance, I noticed she would get disappointed more as time went by. I see this with most religious people. MOST. I think god is a sense of hope for them. Someone they can turn to when they’re in a need of guidance or help.
