The ratio of the distances between a driver and a 2- iron is 5 to 4. If a golfer averages 233 yards with a 2- iron, how far should she average with a driver?

We are given that the distance ratio is:

distance to driver / distance to 2-iron = 5 / 4

 

So if the distance to 2-iron is 233 yards, therefore calculating:

distance to driver = (5 / 4) * distance to 2-iron

distance to driver = 291.25 yards
