Yes. in a triangle 3 angles add up to be 180, the 90 is taken out in the right triangle, so the other 2 angles must equal 90 (aka complementary)
You are right! Complementary angles are those angles when you sum them, you get 90°. When you sum all the angles of a triangle you get 180°.
Thus there are two complementary in a right angles triangle.
